When you are following the 23-Tips and and practicing the daily half-hour sessions you become what I call a SP Practitioner. As a longer term goal you would want to follow the Ten Steps to Intermediate Status.
The 90 Day Practitioner
Your first achievement milestone is 30-Days of consecutive practice. This is a good start, however things really start to kick in after the 90th day. This article describes some of the benefits of being an 90+Day Practitioner.
Ten Steps to Intermediate Status
This is the simplest, best way to “cross the river” which is my way of describing the perils of your journey from an unconscious to a conscious S-P Practitioner. If you follow these Ten Steps your progress will be steady and certain. They aren’t even that hard. However, you do have to do them all.
Recommended Readings
I recommend certain books without reservation. These books are a necessary part of your education if you want to better yourself as an Inner Parent. For example, until you read Parent Effectiveness Training by Thomas Gordon, you have no possible way of understanding the depths of Self-Parenting.
Other books are similar enough in philosophy and practice to be extrapolated to the concept of S-P.
The ten books in Chapter Twelve of SELF-PARENTING are recommended reading for all practitioners. In some ways, they only represent the floor of information you must understand if you want to understand the deeper teachings of Self-Parenting.
